Duramax Specialties
In 1999 GM stopped production of a diesel powered 3/4 ton, 2500 series SUV leaving owners high and dry on what will will give them all the versatility of the SUV and yet have the power & torque to tow that camper, boat or horse trailer. For years the market searched for the alternative. Founded in 2013, Duramax Specialties has been answering this demand for a GM Diesel powered SUV!
Using 2003-2013 3/4 ton Suburban & Yukon XL platforms, we mate the LBZ (2006-2007) LMM (2007-2010) and LML (2011-2014) Duramax Diesel engines mated with 6sp Allison automatic transmissions into these chassis will full intergration and functionality as if GM had built it themselves. No check engine lights, no weird messages, and every aspect of the vehicle can be scanned and repaired by any neighborhood mechanic.
To date we have built and sold over 250 Duramax-powered SUV's. We can either build for the existing Suburban owner or sell you a fully turn key unit from the 15+ donor SUV's we keep in inventory at all times.
